Although the sport of MMA is incredibly popular today, it had to start somewhere. The history of mixed martial arts is one that actually does not go back that far. Mixed Martial Arts is a sport which actually only occurred a little over a decade ago. With the first MMA fight taking place on November 12, 1993, that goes just to show just how new a sport MMA is.

It’s no secret that martial arts has indeed come a long way over the years. A number of years ago, Bruce Lee helped the arts become even more famous, when he developed his style of Jeet Kune Do. He participated in several movies, showing the world his speed and finesse. Since then, movies have been a favorite way to showcase martial arts skills.
Back in the early 1990s, something referred to as the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) came along to take things a step further. Even supposing there have been other competitions similar to the UFC, none of them had the flair and the dedication as UFC did. When it first began, the UFC paired different styles and different weight classes.

There’s no mistaken the fact that Aikido is just about the best and most frequent martial art in the US today. The skill of Aikido is most beneficial related to actor Steven Seagal, who made it even more favorite with his movies. Aikido is rich and history in tradition, an art that originally started in Japan back in the 1940s.
Aikido’s founder, Morihei Ueshiba, was born on December 14, 1883. As he was young adults in modern Japan, Ueshiba witnessed the local thugs vandalize his father. The young boy decided that he would make himself strong in order to seek revenge against the thugs. Ueshiba was strong willed, and devoted every waking moment to exercise and martial arts.
