The most effective kung fu training techniques are usually the most basic.  For many centuries at h Shaolin monastery kung fu was taught in the same way to its many students. The basics have remained focus on Flexibility, stamina , strength and endurance.

This involved many exercises that focused on conditioning your body during many grueling drills.

I remember when I first started out as a green martial artist I was paired with a partner who was much more advanced.  The first drill was to block against   a round punch they would block and then follow up.  At the time my weak puny arms would deliver the punch , only to have my partners strong conditioned arms block and follow up.
